In this particular Johnson Valiant, it has a unglazed, 4" ceramic post used as
a standoff and connection point for the three 6146 plate parasitic supressors. From
that ceramic post, a silver-plated metal ribbon goes over to the plate choke.
Well, that explains it. I've never been 'up-close and personal' with a
Viking Valiant before, but know -all- about the Viking II, Ranger and
Challenger, along with home-brewing experiences. Just an observation.
