look, I don't think we will change anything, we've done this SO many times.. and so many people though that amsn was already closed... in any case, I don't want this to be the index.html page with the huge message and a link to our index.php file... puttin a banner and message in the Download page only would be good enough I think...
also, no matter what happens, noone will ever touch us, we're above law :D

Yep ... but we have to show them that it is really important, something
like :
"DAVDSI should get aMSN illegal" or "aMSK risk to be out of law cause of
DADVSI"

The thing that's pissing me off is that their take advantages of the
events that took place some weeks ago to vote this law in force !! I
wonder what kind of government we have :S

Anyway ... I think the link is a good idea, ... and maybe a link to the
FSF France website ... and a banner like this one ?

What do you think ?

Phil, even if the law would be accepted, we should go on, and we don't want to miss you. Just ignore those stupid legalists! But anyways we should make protest against it, so we should be clear about our point of view on our website, But do NOT say that aMSN will disappear. It won't! Just say 'The French government wants us to disappear, read more here' with the word 'here'
being a link to

Hey, guys !!!
GrdScarabe warned you about what is happening in France !!
You know the DADVSI law which will forbid Free Software in France (and yes
I will have to leave you.... :'( )
We will release now very soon... So I think we could put a link on the aMsn webpage for French downloaders like : "aMsn va bientôt disparaitre" (aMsn will disappear soon) like it is done in many sites (VLC is an example...)
and a link to
http://eucd.info/index.php?2005/11/16/182-appel-defendons-nos-droits-et-lib
ertes and I hope it will prevent the law to be voted...

Yeah,
I just want to say that the release guide should NOT be done...
leave it to me and Jerome, we already discussed this and some things
shouldn't be done or more precisely there are some dependencies...
so Lee, don't look at it and say "ok, I'll update the amsn_latest"..
no, because that is the VERY LAST thing to do...
so take a look at it, contact me or Jerome (or the list) before doing
something out of it, but mostly, we'll take care of everything for
the release.. just make sure your part is done (docs are complete,
website complete, lang keys/translations complete, packages ready,
etc...) Thanks.
Tomorrow, probably, we'll send out a link for the 'official 0.95'
release source code, it will be somewhere on some website, so don't think "oh, I'll use CVS"... anyways, more instructions are to come...

Why don't we use "cvs export -rRelease-0.95" or something like that ??
Phil

good job everyone, we're almost there...

We are 24 hours away from the "release" of aMSN 0.95. The official
release with everything won't be monday( a lot of things to do!)
but we will be able to start the release process with the
Cvs_version of 5th december

All the steps to make the release:
http://amsn.sourceforge.net/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=Release
+Guide&PHPSESSID=dd00758886ce1e6db393411b6f204626

If someone wants to take a look at the ChangeLog to be sure it's
completed
http://amsn.sourceforge.net/wiki/tiki-index.php?
page=ChangeLog&PHPSESSID=dd00758886ce1e6db393411b6f204626

Everything we wanted to do is now done, btw, there is still keys to add from my last commit for video conference invitation, if someone wants to help. Try to avoid commits unless it's just something like translation keys or silly things. Take your time to test (like what
Youness just commited for the X crash), THIS IS IMPORTANT!!

0.94 has been released on Nov 11th
