Well, this is a local preview, which goes as fast as it can get. If you think that the movement is jerky when you are sending webcam (while the preview will always be fast), it's because of bottleneck somewhere in your network connection. If you are firewalled or behind a router, it might work better if you open/forward ports 6890 to 6900. About the image being blue/purple, it's probably a driver issue.
