Just because they are integrated doesn't mean you can't use them for info. In my opinion, you should use some sort of serial key from the motherboard - THAT barely gets changed ;). Also, if people complain "OMG I just changed my mobo and now I have to enter my amsn password once before it will remember me again" then I think that would be a little too much of a complaint :)
If you use linux then try the "lshw" command; there are plenty of keys in there that you could use as your encryption. Just my two cents on the situation... People changing their motherboard will often reload their system anyway, and it isn't exactly something which you do every weekend ;) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of NoWhereMan Sent: 19 March 2007 08:28 To: Mailing list for developers and everyone helping AMSN Subject: Re: [Amsn-devel] config.xml failure? ----- Original Message ----- From: majinsoftware To: Mailing list for developers and everyone helping AMSN Sent: Monday, March 19, 2007 9:07 AM Subject: Re: [Amsn-devel] config.xml failure? > OS HDD is the only thing i haven't replaced in my computer > over 7 years now, 10GB 9000rpm or something. I was more thinking about the ethernet card... but I dunno, they're often integrated on the mainboard ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Take Surveys.
