Exactly, imagine users who see "wow, there's a 1.0 release, finally! how good 
can it be!" they download and it's just "yet another version", not "the 
ultimate, waited so long for" 1.0 release...
Also, I don't think we're using the "aim for 1.0" versioning system, it's just 
an incremental versioning system, if we get to 1.0, then be it. It's 
just another number, another version.
