Ok, that's because *you* don't mind, and I know everyone can feel different, but for me, I just get frustrated and burn their cars when I get a PM (even on the forums) where the questions hould be public.. I usually answer 'use the forums, PMs are only accepted if previously authorized for reasons like sending your password or other sensible data". If you don't mind, it's your choice! Problem is that emails are not public, but people can just mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] and that, you can do nothing about it unfortunately... The reason is simply because imagine the 30+ questions a day that are asked all getting into your inbox.. 1 - it's too much and you can't handle it 2 - it doesn't allow others to answer, like those faithful 'power users' on the forums 3 - it would render the forums and IRC pointless.. > > 2 - Alvaro, the mailing list is for development related issues, so next > > time, redirect the user to the forums since that kind of questions are > > prohibited in the developer's mailing list. > > > I've received many personal messages, and I haven't forwarded them to > the mailing list. The mailing list has a purpose for discussion development related issues, and is for developers only, it's been like that for a while now and we don't let user's questions 'polute' the mailing list. We always answer to use the forums. Sometimes I even want to answer that to developers who ask 'user-ish questions' :p > > 3 - That decision was made long ago and it stirred a few questions and was > > discussed a lot.
