I'm not a dev in anyway, so I won't answer the mail thread, but I really think
your idea is great. I completely agree with you, it's something that should be
done, as it's hell not user-friendly.
I dunno about how this code is difficult or not, but on the user side, I can
guarantee you would make many people happy with such a useful dev ;)
