As I mentioned in my previous message, I know that I can determine pageview
statistics without the having a "pages" column in the request report.
However, I feel that its absence makes the reports as a whole less
user-friendly, especially for clients who are still struggling with the
concept of "pageviews" and "hits". My complaint is not technical -- I know
the data is there, but it needs to be presented in a consistant manner
that's easy for the average site owner to understand.
Even if I hadn't become accustomed to the feature in reports produced by
earlier versions of Analog (it was available in most (all?) versions prior
to 2.9) , I think I would find the absence of a "pages" column in the
request report quite conspicuous.
Maybe there's a great technical reason that Stephen made this change -- if
it gives a 25% speed boost, I'll just shut up about it. If not, I think it
would be beneficial to a lot of end-users (viewers) to reinstate pages in
the request report.
