I understand that there are other ways to get to that number, a lot of the
people viewing our reports are clients who we have worked long and hard to
educate in the difference between pageviews and hits. On a report that
shows a lot of metrics in terms of both requests and pageviews, it becomes
very confusing to them to suddenly not have a number of "pageviews" when
they get to the request report. In previous versions of Analog the page
column made it very easy to visually scan the request report for pageview
information -- just scan the "pages" column for non-zero values.
While it's not technically necessary, being able to show "pages" in the
request report certainly does a lot for the usability of the report, and I
for one would be elated if it were to make a comeback in a future version
of Analog (hint, hint). Although I guess I could just switch back to 2.x...
