This can be worked around of course, and if someone's aliasing *.uk to
"United Kinddom" I doubt they will care anyway- so nothing would be lost.
Maybe a different approach then- CHOPDOMINFO, telling you how many "dots
worth" to remove from the beginning. (never removing everything)

So what- if they're that small, you probably don't care about them
anyway, so to speak. Maybe you'll misidentify a few requests- big deal.
There are always tradeoffs, and this is one I'd be willing to make. If
it's a configurable option (even if it was at compile time) you'd be
perfectly able to trade time for detail.

Before we run out of address space ISPs will subnet & proxy things off
so that they can have 1,000,000 dialup clients that look like they're
coming from a single IP. If they sell the other blocks to other people-
fine, I will turn "full" lookups back on if I care about seeing "who" is
visiting me.
