Both these answers are wrong, I'm afraid.

For the first one, you want FILEALIAS. This will combine the files in all
the reports, but as they're the same file really, this is what you want.

For the second one, DIREXCLUDE only acts on the top level of the hierarchy.
This is an acknowledged weakness.
