Hi,
This reminded me of an old webmonkey article:
http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/demo/96/35/index4a.html?tw=programming
At the end of page 1 it gets to a demo, which uses javascript to
calculate the browser size, and perl to display the next page based on that.
I'm sure it would be simple to calculate sizes this way, and feed it to
perl or to a cookie, or something (even trailing stuff on the url) that will
show up in the logs.
Analog can't decipher that (unless you maybe logged screen sizes as a user
report ) but you could still use that data using scripting of some kind
(bash/perl/etc) to work out how many people use what sizes. If you base it on
browser size, you can work out what the maximum size is for each user, and fit
it into one of the standard categories that makes most sense: 800X600,640X480,
etc.
Never tried it, so I'm sorry if there's some serious problem with doing this
that I've missed.
Ale

way to get analog to do this? This would be particularly useful for site
design.
