MacHTTP was discontinued in April of 1995. No one has requested support
for it since shortly after that. We wanted to increase the reliabilty of
automatic log format detection by reducing the number of formats that
Analog attempts to auto detect, so obsolete formats were not included.
Chuck Shotton has only very recently started working on MacHTTP again.
Now that MacHTTP is back under active development we will look into
supporting it again. What I really want to do is to get Chuck Shotton to
use one of the newer standardized log formats. MacHTTP log format is
rather limited, it doesn't contain the agent string or any referrer
information.

Thanks. I read the press release when he first annonuced it, but the
download wasn't working that day. After that I lost track of it.

Yes, please send me (not the list) the entire log file as a compressed
attachment. When you put log entries in e-mail directly important
information is lost. My address again is <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

I just downloaded MacHTTP 2.3b1 and these formats worked for me with
Analog 4.16. Make sure that you only have one LOGFORMAT line and one
DEFAULTLOGFORMAT line, and that the LOGFORMAT line comes before any
LOGFILE lines. Then tell us the specific error message you are getting.
Good Luck

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed
as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
