I read this list often and have learned much about Analog doing so. Since I
am a Web designer, and not a programmer, or system administrator much is
over my head, but I try to keep up.

My Web host has a self installer for version 4.1, and I don't use the form.
I wanted to experiment with version 5.01 so I just created an analog-5.01
directory next to my analog-4.1 directory and the same with the docs and
images (../htdocs/analog5/Images). I added an alias for the later and used a
config file for a virtual host changing the image and output paths (don't
want to mess up current stats).

I run Analog from telnet:
% /usr/local/bin/virtual /usr/local/analog-5.01/analog -G +g/usr/local/a
nalog-5.01/configfile.cfg

It returns:
/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libgd.so.2" not found

I assume I need a new PERL module, but I am not very skilled at this kind of
thing. I might be able to follow specific instructions for using cpan if you
would provide them.

I never found installation instructions other than upload Analog, create a
config file and run the program, so I assume what I did will work.

Thanks for any help. Perhaps I shouldn't try to do this at 3:AM.

Brian
