I'm not very technical so plz excuse the basic questions. I'm just an end user trying to find a log reporting option because my ISP only gives raw logs.

We want to be able to use Analog and Report Magic to create reports that are formatted in html, stored on the server, and emailed to two people on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

1) Can I install Analog and Report Magic in my virtual server space on my ISP's server without their help? They use Linux. I read that Linux requires installing a compiled version, which implies that I can't do it myself since that would have to be done by my ISP's person. (I think)

2) I'm familiar with scheduling events in Windows and have created bat files in the past, but not sure how to do the same if the software is installed on the Linux server. Any suggestions on how to automate this (that a non-programmer can understand)?

3) If Analog and Report Magic do require installation by my ISP, will I be able to do all tweaking on my own with cfg files that I can install (so I don't have to rely on them any more)

Thx
