You shouldn't be using analog for DNS-lookups, so both questions are irrelevant! Go to http://www.analog.cx/helpers/index.html and look at the "DNS lookups" programs. I think it's best if the dnstran program rewrites the log files. That way you can use DNS OFF in your analog.cfg and it will run the fastest. > My script takes minimum an hour (more like 2) to run. Is this overly > long (or short, I suppose :)? Once you've made the changes, you'll find a run of analog is over in a matter of seconds, and that the DNS-lookup phase will be over much quicker as well. -- Lucian +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | TO UNSUBSCRIBE from this list: | http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help/unsubscribe.html | | Digest version: http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help-digest/ | Usenet version: news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.analog.general | List archives: http://www.analog.cx/docs/mailing.html#listarchives +------------------------------------------------------------------------
