I thought so. But what can I do if upgrading the underlying OS is not an option?
Would it help to recompile analog or something else, like glibc? I remember some situations like these, where hardcoded values inside the source of glibc were responsible for such limitations. I cannot go into modifying the source, but tweaking some switches and recompilation would be ok. On the other hand, that means, that my question is now off-topic, that is, operating system related. I don't want to pollute this list with such problems. Anyway I'd appreciate any pointers or help in this case to my e-mail address only, not to this list. It's simply not an analog problem. Case closed. Thank you! :) Greetings Nicolai On Thu, 05 Jun 2003 12:05:38 -0400 Bobby Hitt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I've seen this problem with earlier distributions of Linux, but after > upgrading to the latest version, the problem has been addressed. > > Bobby > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Nicolai Schleifer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2003 4:37 AM > Subject: [analog-help] (Weird) Filesize Problem / 2GB Limit > > > > Hello People, > > > > I have a strange filesize problem. > > > > On a RedHat-7.2, I've written a couple of scripts, that split up httpd > logs into files for each year. > > > > Now the file for 2003 grew larger than 2GB.
