Is it possible to apply an alias command to characters in a
search-engine query-string? I would like to translate "%3D" to "=",
"%26" to "&" and "%2B to "+".
These characters are not translated in the Referrer Report because
doing so would syntactically change the referrer. For example,
http://www.google.com/search?q=backgammon%26board
and
http://www.google.com/search?q=backgammon&board
are quite different.
They are translated in the Search Query Report and Search Word Report.

That's not opaque enough for me. Do you mean "It can't be done." or
"It can be done, but not the way you're trying to do it."
I mean: analog is already doing the right thing.
You are being unhelpful (to put it kindly). "The right thing" is a very
subjective concept. Other logfile analysers (notable Webalizer) can
extract these search-terms out-of-the-box. I would be surprised if
Analog was fundamentally unable to do it.
