I think I had added that to make the referers in the report clickable.
If you leave it off, the backlink may not work correctly.
Thinking about it, maybe it would actually be better to just extract the
search terms and add them to the referer url with a parameter name that
is not used by Google and use that for the report. Then the backlinks
might remain fully functional.
