What LOGFILE do you specify to Analog ?
How does your webserver rotate your logs ?
Your best bet is to refine your config to look at just the required log 
lines, I'd guess - using %Y, %M etc as appropriate to ensure it only 
looks at the necessary logs ...
I'm guessing it's looking at all of them, and hoping it doesn't need to.

Another option might be to investigate and use analog's cache feature.
