Hello, I am a professional software engineer and have limited phone dev experience, I did some J2ME in college. I wanted the G1 but T-Mobile doesn't have 3G network in Santa Barbara, now I'm hoping Dev Phone 1 is my saving grace.
I'm wondering, what comes pre-loaded on this phone(Dev 1)? Does it start with a workable OS and basic applications( i.e. does it work right out of the box) I'm afraid that if I purchase it and its nothing but a bootloader that I'm going to have troubles and be without a phone for a week while I work out how to get the OS to run. I'd love for it to at least have Wi-Fi, Dial, and Opera loaded out of the box, fingers crossed.
