Originality is 25% of the points, how can you expect an app that is weak in 
that category to score in the top 2.8% of all apps submitted?  Obviously all 
winning apps must be strong in all 4 categories.

I had an app that was in the top 25% in all categories except 
originality...and even though I think it's much more useful than most of the 
winners I understand why it is not a winner.
