Oh boy...you two Cow Boy & javqui have decided to pollute this post too.
Really don't know why I waste time on you two...other than to dispell all your misleading rumors & often downright lies. Here's the deal: "Users can only run one application at a time, and if they leave an application it quits." Michael Arrington has a great article on this at Tech Crunch: www.techcrunch.com/2008/03/07/iphone-sdk-some-of-the-details-arent-great You can scroll down a page or so for the detail on the iPhone's killing of apps. Here's another lock-down item I'd missed earlier: "VOIP services, for example, are basically out of luck. They can access the Internet only via wifi, not the cell networks." I love how the whiners in this group complain that Google's trying to "coopt the open source" movement for its own good. At least Android is open...can't say that at all for the iPhone. You'll get your app on the iPhone if and only if you impress Steve Jobs. So if you think the Google judges were tough on your app, you're gonna love the way ol' Steve treats you. Looking forward to trying your app on the iPhone, ConAim. Actually if you want to send me your executable, I'll run it on my MacBook right now and give you some feedback. I'm off this thread for good...as ConAim says, we should start a new thread on the topic. - biosopher --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Challenge" group.
