In my opinion the worst outcome would be one where Oracle could extract royalties from Android sales **and** Oracle felt free to do Microsoft-like licensing, where they gave different "partners" different terms, tied licensing to use of Oracle software, etc. A simple $5-$10 a pop phone license, on the other hand, would be painful but not a killer, and not enough to seriously distort the market.
