That's so much away from reality. I have myself lived on a 40$ cell phone spending less than 5$ monthly for my voice plans. The voice plans in my country are cheap and cell phones are so common. Having a cool phone is like a cult. For a poor farmer its like owning a car and they take pride in it. If android can make a phone more than just a way to communicate, Thats a great thing. However, if android is only going to run on iphone-like phones, yes not many people are going to use it. But I guess a reason to have an open and free operating system is to make phones affordable. regards, harsh > particular statement a rather tasteless attempt to salve the > conscience of those who have the money to buy an Android phone.... > > Or do I understand the statement wrongly?
