I'm in no way connected with Google, so this is my purely personal
opinion.

They will have hundreds or thousands of applications to judge within a
short time. They don't appear
to have ample staff resources. So each application won't get too much
time.

Therefore, the first impression they get from an app will probably be
important. I guess they will be
in a similar situation to an end customer who will be selecting
software. If it makes a good impression
during the first few seconds and minutes, it will get a positive
response.

For me, this means that the main features of the app have to work
well. After all, the deliverable is a
piece of software, not a set of powerpoint slides. Someone who plays
with the software should be able
not only to use, but to like it.

On the other hand, they won't have the time to follow each trail in
our software. So, any feature that
won't be searched for during, say, the first hour of using the stuff,
will probably go undetected.

Anyway, the prize money is supposed to enable us to continue
developing, so completeness is a
relative term anyway.
