Great! Android really needs a different task management - from the user perspective. Technically it's already great, but users are used to more than 20 years of Windows' terrible management ;), so they complain when they see something is seemingly "running unnecessarily". I don't know if it's maybe also planned for Gingerbread, but I think there should be something like "don't show this app in task managers until it displayed an Activity". This would allow better task switchers than the "long home" one, and "close" buttons which would technically just do this "hide in task list until shown again" - a bit similar to Windows apps that don't necessarily stop running when the last window is closed, but aren't visible in the task bar anymore.
