Download the .apk on your device and you should be able to simply "open" it like any other file, which in this case would be opened by the package installer.
Side note: some carriers (in the US at least) have disabled "side-loading" apps onto phones, so it may not be possible for everyone. I am not very knowledgeable about that however because I am on Verizon where it is possible and quite simple.
