+1 mort The NumberPicker is already created for Date- and TimePickers. If it is already existing, and reusable component, why not be public?! Nobody is speaking of requesting new widgets or components, but at least let's have the existing ones public.
Btw - I have tried the widget proposed by Kostya Vasilyev and Webnet Android (see posts above) and find it really useful!
