You make a good point about the possibility of the market messing up. Yeah, I really wish they would send an email so I could help them. Personally I think your idea of using your site to "respond" to user's comments is brilliant! It's just too bad the user will probably never see the response. I'm going to start doing something similiar.
Also, thinking about displaying a dialog upon first opening (after they install) telling them to please contact me if an issue arises.
