Hi,

This just happened to me. This policy seems EXTREMELY APPLE/IPHONE
LIKE. Our application was suspended (not sure why yet, I have an email
into Google) but I can assume now after reading this post that it is
because we did the following:

1) Provided a locked down app with no trial version available.
2) License Keys must be purchased to unlock the software.

Now, I understand that Google may not want developers seeking other
routes to receive payments for many different reasons (not only
monetary & security of their users, but also to supply a clean/
standard look and feel). To that end, we went so far as to branch our
development, one branch includes the source with the license key
restrictions and the trunk contains the unrestricted version. Now, the
unrestricted version is deployed at Handango, Slideme, etc and once
Google is able to catch up and deploy an ordering system we would
immediately remove all restrictions and non-standard payments.

These requirements seem unfathomable to me, It just seems policies
like this ensure that the software available for the G1 continues to
be behind the iPhone, Storm, etc. We were hoping "Open Source" meant
Open Source.
