Just two quick points: 1 - Most, if not all, of the complaining about lack of support is directed squarely at the Android Market. I think you know this. 2 - Google takes a $25 signup fee and 30% cut of every paid app sold through the Android Market. Considering that, I think it's reasonable to expect some semblance of support from that particular group.
