I bet you can reproduce the issue just try the following: 1. Make sure you place image into drawable-port and drawable-land. 2. Make sure to run setImageViewResource(...) while you are inside your application in landscape mode. Don't use the keyboard to make the phone go into landscape mode. 3. Hit back until you are in the home screen.
