It's not a problem that has been around since the first release. I'm starting to think it's been around since I added support to install to SD card. Hmmm, I should see if I can log whether the game is installed on an SD card.

I'm considering making a manifest file that has all the files listed with CRCs. If I get a file not found then maybe flag that the game has crashed and the next time it starts have it verify all the files.

I would bet that the initial install does a verification but the launcher likely doesn't do it every time. So if the card is flaky it could still install and fail later.

You think this is overkill? I have a game engine so it could be done once in my tools.

Thanks. The calm part made me laugh. I have 500 reports in 4 days so it's
kind of bad.
Is this problem new? 2.5 million downloads would indicate an app
that's been around for a while. Do these crashes coincide with any
particular recent release?
