I am testing this on a SGSII, updated to 2.3.6. The behaviour is the same
using either Samsung keypad or Swype keyboard. I also just ran the app in
emulator (API level 8) where the keyboard is not shown at all in landsacpe
mode (???) and emulator API level 10 where the keyboard situation is the
same as with emulator API level 8. Is there something else I could do
forcibly show the soft keyboard?

I **think** it used to work (in one of the previous incarnations of this
app), though I don't remember what the changes were. Perhaps just the
Android OS update.

Which flag is that? Will it have efect in my case as well? The way the
built-in browser works is what I am targeting.

Kind regards,
 Miha.
