So what you are saying, is that these TAX/VAT issues are too complex
to be discussed here - with fellow developers - and that each of us
should consult tax authorities and legal council in order to continue
developing Android apps - even as a hobby, for fun or pleasure?

I am afraid that you are right, and that each of us has to register
for VAT in at least every EU country.
I am also afraid that this will not happen.
