God! That was a good suggestion, but it didn't work. I recreated my entire app in the old system (so now it is duplicated with an in-progress draft through the new system) and it still won't take a youtube URL. I can't believe this. Why does this work for everyone else? I'm using a very standard youtube URL. Like I said, I even tried plugging in the URLs of apps that aren't mine, promo videos for other people's apps that I know work because those apps show the videos...and I couldn't even get those to go through. And of course google has not responded to my request for help............so I'm screwed.
