Thanks, I've just uploaded a trail version. Because it was a puzzle game that takes a certain length of time to do I just made it time out after 2 minutes. They can still keep using it, but only for 2 minutes at a time, which is enough to do puzzle in easy level, but not in medium or hard unless you are some kind of genius with very fast fingers. This way I also don't have to check if they are reinstalling where one would have to leave some kind of data on the phone or keep a record of owners in a remote database or something like that. I think the idea of tracking usage and a link direct to the market is a good one. But I don't know how you tell what the exact direct android market URL to an application is on the phone. Anyway, thank you for your advice. I think when I make something a bit larger/better I might go about spend more time on such things. I did put a hit counter on the associated web site at least just to see if anyone visits the site. If it gets busy, then maybe I could put pay per click adverts on it or something, but I doubt it will get that busy.
