Sounds like someone needs to work on a library to make that easier to do. Would there be any commercial value in it?

It seems that this is a recurring issue here. I don't but this shouldn't be that difficult. Assuming there are existing functions for loading an image from a file: 1 - Check if file to image on SD card exists 2 - If so, load it, done. 3 - If not, download from your server, cache to SD card where you checked previously so it'll be there next time 4 - Profit Of course you will want to let the user know that you're downloading stuff somehow, especially if they're large images that will take some time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TreKing - Chicago transit tracking app for Android-powered devices http://sites.google.com/site/rezmobileapps/treking -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
