Given the wordwide developer base I'd say even after the 22nd it'll be impossible for many developers to test on the G1 implementation.
Still, developers are only the people spending their own time trying to help make the platform useful, how could developers ever be important compared to people who get paid to write about any and every 'phone they come across?
