I like the idea of featuring free apps, but I think it's a good idea to also make it easy to browse non-free apps. Sure, there are other app stores that can do that, but as someone mentioned before, andappstore is an app "store" as in "buying" apps--showing only free apps would throw off the user's expectations. You could provide an andfreeapps that shows only the free section of andappstore or andappstore could have something like a set of radio buttons "free", "non-free" and "all" that would set the filter for the whole site until the user selects a different option. I think giving the user the option to browse non-free applications, even if free applications are given some sort of priority, only improves user experience. If you want philosophically Free, filter SourceForge, Savannah, Google Code, etc. on platform:android.
