Another nail in the coffin. One step at a time Android has dropped from an eagerly anticipated "must have" device to one I don't even want. For me, and millions of others, the main differentiator was the ability to actually do what *I* want with the phone. Not even being able to log in as root and look around means I don't have control of the device. It is just another "me too" smart phone. I may as well stick with my aging HW6915 even though it runs (shudder) WM. Shame on you google, this could have been great.
