I upgraded from the T-Mobile MDA to the G1 because of the compass mode map feature. Once I learned of the omission of transit/pedestrian directions on GM for the G1, I was utterly disappointed. I now have a phone that is more feature heavy than functional. While I still love my G1 to death, it would be nice if Google were to put some effort into supporting its supporters by offering the features that are available on Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and iPhone versions of GM. Then they even had the nerve to release Google Earth for the iPhone... what was it -- a week or so after the G1 was released? I'm offended :-)
But knowing Google, that and more will be available on the G1 in no time. Would make a nice Christmas gift to the early adopters (especially ones like me who had to send the phone back three weeks after I received it). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
