I have heard, that you can get the G1 on a 1 year contract for $249. I have seen this on a variety of non-official websites, and even called T-Mobile directly, and confirmed that they do offer this (although they couldn't tell me the specific price that it is offerred at).
The phone representative informed me that I would have to go to a retail store to get the 1 year contract, and of course the retail store pointed me to the 1-800 number. My question: -anybody on the list able to sign up with a shorter contract? -anyone on the list know where I could point the retail clerk to confirm that this is in fact offered (I would love a URL to T-Mobile's site!)
