Since there exists no Android API nor an official format specification for decoding camera previews, I hope that the Kogan Agora Pro camera phone will not use yet another unspecified encoding that we first need to detect and reverse engineer. However, the fact that they use at least a different camera than the G1 judging from the 2MP (instead of 3.1MP) figure, makes me worry that we will see further fragmentation as a result of the lack of standardization of key camera properties in Android.
