Well, I'm sure root is not for everyone, but then, so is installing a
custom boot loader and stuff. Other vendors don't have problems
refusing warranty services on self-bricked phones. I don't say Google
can't sell Android in this manner, I'm just saying I bought it because
it was labeled "Open Source", and I assumed I could install my own
Kernel. Now I can't and I am severely dissapointed. How many phones
will be bricked in the attempt to do it anyway, I do not know. I think
this joint decision between T-Mobile and Google was a mistake, and it
makes me sad.
