...a bunch of random people on the internet start a rumor and you get all worked up over it? What are you, new here?
Show me anywhere that someone with @google.com, @android.com or (unlikely) @ tmobile.com has said -anything- about abandoning the g1. Seriously. I'd love to see it. So far all I've seen is people saying "omg its been a few days without a release, they must have abandoned us whaaaa!" What I -have- seen is people getting g1/adp1 firmware builds from google devs (by walking into the building and asking), complete with updated hardware-specific binaries. (That part is important. It means they are UPDATING THE CODE FOR THE G1.) And I've "heard rumours" of a new build for the adp1. So if you have any actual evidence to support this, now is the time. I'll join with you to bitch and moan and cry about it. (And then I'll move on with my life, because its an open platform with a major security bug and a downgrade out in the wild, so regardless of G1 or ADP1 you can run your own newer code anyway.) Also.. just to point out the obvious.. this thing is -brand new- from tmobile. They usually don't abandon phones to die until at least the 1st year has gone by, and there is a replacement out...
