We, at SlideME, have been quiet on the android lists for the last two months and this has been due to the complexity of the billing solution: everything from getting the tax and legal issues sorted to security and high availability of our servers.
So I just want to give developers a heads up. We have everything lined up to handle purchase of paid applications through our SAM client. We will be launching sometime next week. Our system will be able to handle micropayments for as low at 50 cents. As we promised, we will only be passing on transaction costs to the developer. So start prepping and polishing your paid applications, you only have a week or so. We are going to have a pretty big campaign push around this, so expect some serious visibility for your applications. If you are a business or developer that has specific issues or concerns that need to be addressed before launch, contact me or George. We will be sending out developer agreements as early as this week. We also have a couple of other big announcements for next week, so stay tuned.
