Did you mean that this particular clause disallow trials with time expiration ?

In fact, as I understand : if you download today an application stated
to expire in 1 month (11 march), this clause just impose that you can
always download again (for free) this same application (but will also
have the same expiration date : 11 march).

So does not prevent  applications with expiry date to be on the market.
