You act like a carrier or manufacturer could seriously consider releasing an
android device without joining OHA and licensing market, gmail, youtube, etc
etc etc..

I'd be surprised if the license fees were -that- much lower, especially when
you include porting costs. And the PR hit it will invariably take when
people "upgrade" their nokia handsets and get android instead of the
expected symbian..
